After having my second daughter, I began practising yoga as a gentle way to return to exercise. From this point, my love for yoga began when finding so much more than physical postures (asanas) on the mat. Learning the importance of our mind, body and soul connection gave me a deeper understanding of yoga and also my inner self.
Mental health is a real focus for me as I am a naturally anxious person. There is so much anxiety and depression within our communities, across all generations. Understanding how self care and compassion can change the way you feel, will enable you to live your life as the best version of you, inspire others and radiate out to everyone around you so that they too feel the benefits. #togetherwearestronger
I began teaching Hatha Yoga in 2017 and completed my Hatha Yoga Teaching Training RYTT 200 hrs with Jill Jones and Yin Yoga Teacher Training 40hrs with Denise Barlow in 2018, both accredited with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
During my classes you will find space for conscious breathing (pranayama), time to explore postures (asana), meditation (dhyana) and relaxation techniques all with words of encouragement and support. Throughout your practice there will be gentle reminders to listen to your body, without judgement and work with how you feel today.
"Time to make your soul happy."
